| 2008 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship - Alternate Bracket | |||
|---|---|---|---|
If we were charged with inviting 65 teams to the Big Dance, this is the bracket that we would have produced. We have identified five "snubbed" teams (highlighted), those that were not given NCAA at-large bids but according to our data should have been. A note about this bracket: The KPoz Power Rankings were the sole criterion used for selecting the at-large teams; no regard was given for conference affiliation. All automatic teams (conference champions, tournament or otherwise) are represented here regardless of their place in the Power Rankings. Teams were seeded solely by their KPoz Power Rankings (#1 overall plays #64/65 overall; #2 overall plays #63 overall, etc.) without regard for geography. | |||
